Andre’s Restaurant- Las Vegas
We thought we were in store for an extraordinary meal. It far surpassed my expectations with one of my most memorable dining
experiences of the last 5 years. The food was fantastic, portions were just perfect, excellent service and nice ambiance. From the intimate and unique private lounge area to the downright decadent cuisine Andre’s at the Monte Carlo Resort begins to redefine upscale French cuisine.
Entrees included a caviar course, beef tongue (with yellow beets and a lentil cantelloni), pork belly with truffles and a sauce I could have drank as my cocktail, prime beef with long beans and another unbelievable sauce (including bone marrow), and a wonderful chocolate mouse dessert. We also recieved a chilled mushroom soup as the amuse, and lovely sorbet pallet cleanser, and an addtional dessert of assorted chocolates. A five course meal was really 8.
What I appreciate about Andre’s, in addition to the solid kitchen, is the lack of pretentiousness and appropriate server presence. Andre’s ‘feels’ more like New York than “Vegas”. Dignified and satisfying. We had the chance to speak with the chef. With the shift in economy it has made in necessary for restaurants to look at the ingrdients and become a bit more creative. The labour intensity involved with each dish was beyond belief. The fruit mosaic is a perfect example of this (see photo).
If you are looking for a memorable meal that will showcase some of Las Vegas finest culinary talents look no further than Andre’s.
