Scruffy North Park now offers some seriously good food, pt.2
Best burger above is from Urban Solace
Sea Rocket Bistro
Sea Rocket Bistro offers “ocean-to-table” cuisine with fresh, sustainable sea food taking over the menu. You’ll find ceviche, fish carpaccio, fish cakes, pan-seared fish sandwiches or a yummy sounding Grilled Grape Leaf-Wrapped Fish, stuffed with lemon zest and mint and coated in a hot pepper oil but exactly what fish you’re offered will depend on what the local fisherman bring in.
Check out the bar where you can watch a movie that shows the boats trawling for your dinner. Keep you eyes peeled and you might meet one of the film’s “stars” dropping off their catch of the day.
Don’t miss: Fresh Sea Urchin bisque presented out of it’s deep purple spiked shell.

Urban Solace
Urban Solace makes a perfect first date choice, (particularly if you score a outdoor table on the patio,) since it’s loaded with chic style yet is very reasonably priced. The menu features New American comfort food, offering trendy renditions of popular classics, such as “Not Your Momma’s Meatloaf” Ground Lamb, Figs, Pinenuts, Feta Cheese with Fig Jus, or Dungeness Crab “Pop Tart”: Pastry stuffed with Fresh Crab, Leeks, Celery and Rich Cream. Due to popular demand, (the locals threatened to strike), Chef/co-owner Matt Gordon brought back Duckaroni: Mac n’ Cheese with Blue Cheese, Duck Confit, Roasted Garlic, Arugula and Scallions.
Desserts amp up the fun-factor, so save room for the “Not So Red” Velvet Cake, Cream Cheese and Cocoa Nib Frosting or the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Crème Brulée.
Don’t miss: Sunday’s Bluegrass Brunch featuring the sounds of some very talented local musicians to perhaps accompany the hangar steak Benedict —warm cheddar biscuits topped with grilled steak, perfectly poached eggs and a tangy, smoked ancho chile hollandaise
