Today is Bastille Day to Francophiles everywhere. You can watch the Tour de France on TV. Or here in San Francisco, you can celebrate in a variety of ways:
• Join thousands of revelers at Plouf and the other international restaurants lining the city’s newly named “French Quarter” on Belden Alley, between Bush & Pine Streets, in the shadow of the Bank of America building.The street will be closed to traffic from 5pm to Midnight Friday.
• Cross the Golden Gate Bridge to dine at The Left Bank, a French fixture in the town of Larkspur featuring specials, lie accordian music, costumed staff and complimentary champagne Friday and Saturday.
• See “Monet in Normandy” at the Palace at the Legion of Honor Museum through September 17.
