Another Reason To Visit San Francisco: “GodFellas”

A nun who’s a killer, a librarian who’s a nerd, and televangelists who are religious fanatics collide with the military-industrial God complex in the S.F. Mime Troupe’s smart “GodFellas” play. It’s been reviewed as “one of the company’s sharpest, funniest and most fundamentally patriotic, original musical comedies in years.”

The San Francisco Mime Troupe, which calls itself “America’s Theatre of Political Comedy,” is a local institution with 47 years of success. “GodFellas,” its annual free summer show in the parks, “is penetratingly pertinent political satire, expertly performed by six remarkably versatile and tuneful actors and staged with comic snap by ‘director/ wrangler’ Ed Holmes.” Read more at SF Gate.
