Pop Star Builds His Own Island: Treehugger.com

Island living isn’t just what you see in Survivor. Now a man in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico, who was tired of living off the land actually built his own island –– out of a quarter of a million used soda bottles, as well as some other stuff.

“Technically I don’t have an island, I have an eco space-creating ship,” says Reishee Sowa of his space along the Mexican Riviera. Whatever it is, we think it’s pretty darn cool, even if it doesn’t have a spa, Wi-Fi and other amenities we’ve all become accustomed to having.
