Blackberry Users Rejoice!: RIM Pays Some Green

If you’re a “Crackberry” user, road warrior or otherwise addicted to your wireless communications device, you can breath easier. You will be able to text messages, answer emails and make phone calls to your heart’s content for years to come.

Research in Motion, Blackberry’s parent company, settled a long-simmering patent dispute that had gone to U.S. District Courts by paying $612.5 million to a small Virginia intellecturla properties firm called NTP to settle all patent claims in a four-year legal battle.
