2008 Gabby Gourmet Adds Two New Top-Rated Restaurants :: Denver

Heading to Denver next year for the Democratic National Convention? Flying into town on your way to the mountains? Whatever brings you to the Mile High City, be sure to check out the 2008 Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Guide before going out to eat.

The 2008 version of the definitive guide to dining in greater Denver has hit the stores with two new top-rated restaurants. The “heavenly? designation has been extended to Elway’s Steakhouse (owned and frequently visited by former Denver Broncos Quarterback John Elway) and Fruition, considered by many reviewers and local diners to be perhaps the best restaurant experience in town.

The two central Denver restaurants join Barolo, Del Frisco’s, Mizuna and Restaurant Kevin Taylor in Denver, and Frasca and L’Atelier in Boulder as the best of the best. Zagat America’s Top Restaurants 2008, also just released, lists Frasca, Fruition and Mizuna as the top nosh spots in the area, along with Sushi Den and Sushi Sasa.

Local foodie Pat Miller started the publication 22 years ago. This year’s version is a whopping 520 pages, reflecting many new restaurants that have opened in the greater Denver metropolitan area and digging deeper than it has before into the local and neighborhood restaurant scene. The $14.95 printed edition of the 2008 Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Guide is available at stores throughout Denver and online at www.gabbygourmet.com.
