2009 Michelin Stars for UK Restaurants

For this New Year, the good news is that Michelin Guide for the UK released recently. The scuttlebut around the foodie scene has people whispering that the guide actually leaked. Whatever the case may be, we are quite happy to learn about the best restaurants to haunt this year.

For 2009, the guide has thrown the spotlight on 26 new 1-star restaurants, four brand new 2-star restaurants as well as a nice list of 4 ‘Rising Stars’. The 3-stars were given only to those who were featured in the past. They include past recipients such as ‘The Fat Duck’ by Heston Blumenthal, the ‘The Waterside Inn’ by Michel Roux, and Gordon Ramsay.

You would like to know who the new winners of the Two Michelin Stars were. The awards went to l’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, The Dining Room at Whatley Manor, Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester, and Claude Bosi’s Hibiscus. Earlier the restaurant lost a star on shifting from Ludlow to London. Learn more about the Michelin stars here.
