Whistler’s Adara Hotel a part of annual Cornucopia

Whistler’s annual festival of food and wine, Cornucopia, is scheduled Nov. 6-10, 2008. It’s one of those events that I’ve yet to attend, but is high on my food and wine silver bucket list.

The boutique hotel Adara, where I have stayed, has put together a fun package with neighboring Ric’s Grill for one night during Cornucopia. On Nov. 7, Ric’s Friday night party will feature DJ’s and dancing, an electro violinist, circus performers, magicians, Vegas style show girls, and black jacket, poker, roulette and craps tables. Guests will also enjoy a lavish dinner buffet, canapés, cocktails, wines, martinis and more.

The Adara Hotel Casino Royale Party Package, priced at $269 per couple plus taxes, includes:

• A night’s stay in a stylish Superior Guestroom, Nov. 7 only
• Two tickets to the Casino Royale Cornucopia Party (just steps from Adara’s front door)
• Two personal uses of Oxia Oxygen (to ease the morning after)
• Upgrade to a Loft Suite for just $30 more

Note that individual tickets to the party at Rick’s are $125 each, so this is a great deal. Additional nights at Adara are available at the rate of $119 plus taxes. Tickets for Cornucopia are available online at their website.

Adara Hotel is located in the heart of Whistler Village, and it can get noisy. But if you’re out partying all night, who cares? The British Columbia boutique hotel was the only Canadian property listed in Condé Nast Traveller UK’s 2007 Hot List. It was named as One of the Worlds Best New Hotels.
