When you get more than you bargained for…

pricingWe’ve all heard the adage, when you buy a bargain, you get what you pay for. But in wine marketing, there seems to be a sweet spot at which a winemaker prefers to over deliver rather than charge price the wine out of the market, hence you get more wine for your buck. This supports the view that you can’t really base your wine selections merely on price (although budgeting is a reality for most of us mere mortals). But if price is your only compass, you may end up missing out on the opportunities of over-delivering.
