I posted earlier about wine geeks and the hyper-jargon they use to describe wines. Some people find snobs irritating. I actually find them to be a source of great entertainment. There is something of the optimist in the snob. They think that whatever their particular snobbery is about is worth spending all that effort pretending. To the rest of us, we go… why bother!
