At the top of the File is Terme di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort. Located in Saturnia, Italy this renowned Tuscan spa offers a glimpse of the true Mediterranean lifestyle. The Mediterranean lifestyle is centered on three elements: balance, activity and diet. Terme di Saturnia creates personalized and specialized programs to help guests in striking a balance between these elements. The result is total relaxation and well-being.

Terme di Saturnia is set amongst the rolling hills of Tuscany. It’s a true medical spa with a staff of 45 therapists and five medical doctors. Therapies include beauty, stress management and thermal and hydrotherapy treatments utilizing the area’s unique thermal waters. The resort features four thermal water pools, falls, a Jacuzzi and 60 treatment rooms.

Getting physical at Terme di Saturnia is easy. Daily fitness programs include morning hikes, water gymnastics, Pilates and targeted body workouts. Personal trainers are available. The resort’s healthy menus are loaded with fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, meat, fish and olive oil. For those seeking additional assistance in nutrition, the spa offers customized diet programs with a menu and program to take home.

Daily and weekly rates at the 140-room luxury resort include use of the thermal pools, various saunas and baths and thermal waterfalls. They also include a guided morning hike, use of the the gym (excluding classes) and a reserved deck chair/umbrella at the pool. Daily rates range from $264-$509, depending on room type and occupancy; weekly rates are $1,212 to $3,164. All rates are per person and include breakfast.

Terme di Saturnia is a member of Leading Hotels of the World. It’s located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma region of Italy in the medieval village of Saturnia. The resort features two restaurants, two bars, a fitness center, driving range, art gallery, an Aldo Coppola hair salon and a 3,000-year-old thermal pool. An 18-hole golf course is planned to open in Spring 2008.
