Spring Fling: Portland’s Benson Hotel

Benson Hotel, Portland, Oregon

Portland, Oregon is one of my favorite West Coast cities. It’s still small town in feel, but big cityesque when it comes to hotels, dining, arts, culture and nightlife. Plus there’s all that healthy outdoor recreation.

There are plenty of spring activities popping up in PDX. The Portland Saturday Market runs every Saturday through Christmas. It’s a fun place to pick up picnic fixins or just watch the parade of people as they start their weekend.

Other events include the 2008 Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest, March 20-April 20; Spring Beer & Wine Fest, March 21-22; and the 2008 Faux Film Festival, March 27-30.
