How about shopping by appointment AND in a limo?

Vancouver, BC is one of my favorite North American cities and now it has something new: Vancouver Shopping By Appointment, Vancouver’s first bespoke shopping service.

So what does bespoke mean, anyway? OK, I had to look it up, so here it is according to dictionary.com: (of clothes) made to individual order; custom-made: a bespoke jacket. So that’s what it is, custom made shopping, all in the luxury of a limousine or town car. Whether you go for three or four hours, you’ll receive star treatment along the way. The neighborhoods range from Granville Island to Robson Street, Chinatown to the South Granville Rise. And you’ll check out everything from haute couture designs to museum quality First Nations art.

Suggested hours are 10-1 or 2-5, and the Shopping Tours have such enticing titles as Orient Express, Carts and Bling Bling, Shoes! Shoes! Shoes!, Baby in a Blanket and Our Favourite Things. There are 26 to select from.

Afterwards, check into The Sutton Place Hotel, just off Robson. The luxury hotel has a number of packages this season, including Bed & Breakfast at The Sutton and Body and Soul. The B&B package includes one night’s accommodation, full breakfast for two, complimentary parking and use of the pool/fitness facility and late check-out of 3 PM. The Body and Soul package includes one night’s accommodation, a couple’s Swedish Massage at the on-site Vida Wellness Spa, full breakfast for two, complimentary parking and use of the pool/fitness facility and late check-out of 3 PM.
