This summer, New York editors scoured the city for unique home-décor products in ten categories: chairs, sofas, beds, rugs, pillows, lamps, coffee tables, dining tables, bookshelves, and mirrors. They photographed almost 1,000 items, from a $200 paisley Urban Outfitters chair to a $110,000 Joaquim Tenreiro dining table at R 20th Century.
And because many of the stores they visited — from high-design Madison Avenue showrooms to hip Brooklyn boutiques — don’t have Websites that display their merchandise, many of the products we found cannot be viewed elsewhere on the Internet at nymag.com/shopping/shopamatic.
