Prize-Winning Boutique: Hotel Pulitzer, Barcelona

The luxurious Hotel Pulitzer in Barcelona is definitely a feast for the senses. How? Let us count the ways: 1) This four-star boutique hip hotel is smartly styled and features a monochromatic minimalist inte rior. 2) The 91 bedrooms are black and gray with touches like leather, silk and showplace bathrooms. 3) There are two non-smoking floors, very appealing to US visitors. 4) They have “intelligent” rooms, but I’m not sure why they’re called that unless you count the DSL lines, Internet access, satellite TV, minibars, safes and 24-hour room service. 5) There’s a restaurant, solarium/terrace, library, cocktail bar, and free fitness center nearby. 6) Plus, the location is fabulous –– only 20 metres from the Plaza Catalunya and near the Ramblas and Paseo de Gracia.

  1. Jak Newman says:

With a skyline indelibly marked by Antoni Gaudí, this stylish city has grown in popularity to be one of Europe’s top destinations, and has thus seen the emergence of more top-class boutique and luxury hotels catering to travelers with taste. Despite the increasing number of Barcelona luxury hotels coming online, demand still outpaces supply – finding stylish accommodation outside the winter months requires planning several weeks ahead. However, those in the know will look to get into the chic Hotel Prestige Paseo de Garcia on the Passeig de Garcia or the Hotel Omml that is a favorite with the Travel + Leisure editors for its clean unpretentious look. Then there is the Hotel Arts Barcelona, an unadulterated Barcelona luxury hotel, and the quirky Hotel Casa Camper, a 25 suite contemporary cool hotel.
