Not Quite The Budget for Champagne?

Fear not. There is hope. If your expense budget does not quite reach to the level of champagne, you can still add a happy little fizz to your party…look for a Cremant d’Alsace next time you are in the store. (shhh….don’t tell the experts…but cremant it’s made with a method pretty close to the real thing…I am probably violating everything sacred here…). Technically, the glass you serve your wine in is an indication of the content so if you don’t want to mislead your guests, you can serve Cremant in a slightly fatter glass, as opposed to the slim champagne flute. Or otherwise just holler, “Oy! Guys! It ain’t champagne in them skinny glasses! But you can drink three times as much for yer’ money!”
