But now, the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East is making news with its real snow, year-round desert snowdome known as Ski Dubai. It opened last November at the Mall of the Emirates, one of the world’s largest malls.
It’s big. How big? Three football fields big, with:
• Five slopes in varying degrees of difficulty;
• The world’s first indoor Black Diamond advanced ski run;
• A ¼ pipe run for snowboarders;
• Two themed restaurants; and
• A pro shop.
