The Only Luxury Unique Boutique :: Hotel Teatro, Denver, CO

Hotel Teatro, a luxury boutique hotel in downtown Denver, provides it all: a central location for business travelers, romantic decor for couples and special deals for luxurious weekend getaways. Theater buffs frequent the hotel for its proximity to the city’s performing arts complex and to relax among the vintage costumes and stage photographs in the hotel lobby, parlor and guest rooms.

Each guest room comes with 12-foot ceilings that make the smaller Standard rooms seem larger, soft gold or sage décor, down comforters and custom desks. Luxury in the 10-year-old hotel is spelled with Bs — beds and baths. The beds with soft Frette linens and the deep comforters nearly swallow guests in comfort. The marble bathrooms, appointed with Aveda products and plush terry robes, include extra deep soaking tubs, rain shower heads and massage showers that work out any kink the world can inflict upon a neck.

The 111 guest rooms also feature sandstone entries, King or Queen beds, cherry desks and closets, and sitting areas with overstuffed chairs or loveseat and ottoman. The two-room Junior Suite features a King bed in the sleeping room while the parlor on the other side of the locking French doors includes a sleeper sofa, overstuffed chairs, coffee table and desk. The Chancellor’s Suite comes with wood-paneled walls, fireplace, damask fabrics and a stunning view of the Rocky Mountain Front Range to the West. The large Apartment at Hotel Teatro provides all the comforts of home, including a dining table that seats eight, equipped kitchen and library of books and DVDs.

No need of everyday life goes unmet in the Hotel Teatro rooms. Coffee maker with Daz Bog coffee; printer/scanner/fax/copier; Fiji water in the mini fridge; CD player; two-line phone with caller ID, voice mail and data port are all provided.

The well-trained staff treats every guest as special, but will take extra steps if asked. Let them know about plans for a romantic visit and they’ll make it magical: rose petals leading from door to bed, champagne, breakfast in bed.

Tumbling into the plush beds or enveloping chairs to enjoy all those complimentary goodies make the desire to leave unnecessary, but the Teatro is just a leisurely walk from Denver’s vibrant Lower Downtown night spots, 16th Street pedestrian mall, Pavilion’s shopping center, historic Larimer Square or the Coors Field baseball stadium. For venues a little farther away, the Teatro staff provides complimentary transportation throughout the downtown area. The full-service concierge can meet just about any need.

Award-winning chef/restaurateur Kevin Taylor’s in-hotel restaurants — PRIMA, a light, heart-healthy Italian restaurant, and Restaurant Kevin Taylor — are considered two of Denver’s finest restaurants and their reputation is only enhanced by a 5,000-bottle wine cellar that last year won Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence.

The only down side to a weekend or longer stay at Hotel Teatro is the lack of parking other than $24-a-day, although nearby public parking garages charge about the same fee.
