Financial District Italian Decadence: Perbacco, San Francisco

I had a delightful lunch last week with my friends Mike and Sharon at Perbacco, a new Italian bistro on the California Street cable car line, one block from where I was married in downtown San Francisco. (By the way, “Perbacco” is an Italian word to accentuate positive comments.)

According to Michael Bauer, the SF Chronicle’s celebrated food writer, it’s all positive: “Perbacco is a breakout restaurant in the Fnancial District where (Chef Steffan Terje makes) stunning house-cured meats, incredible pastas and the world’s best breadsticks…” Prices range from $14 – $29 per entree.
