Family-Friendly, Oceanfront Ultra Luxe Hotel: Aqualinia Resort, Sunny Isles, FL
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts builds high-end properties around the world, from Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos, Mexico to the Hotel Seiyo Ginza in Tokyo. But their new property that opens in March between the fashionable South Beach and Bal Harbour areas is being promoted as an ultra luxury, family-friendly boutique resort that’s an alternative to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale hotels.
The Aqualinia is an oceanfront masterpiece. It resembles a grand Italian palace with Baroque fountains, marble columns, and a two-story spa (debuting this October). Families can choose oceanfront swimming pools, a kids’ marine biology program, an adult-only pool and three restaurants, among its 51-story Mediterranean-inspired tower with 97-rooms and 188 lavish residences.
The cost? High season (December through April 29) will be $675/night for an intracoastal room, and up to $2,050 for a deluxe oceanfront two-BR suite.
