Dutch Treat: Amsterdam Canal Festival

Amsterdam in the summer has an annual treat for classical music lovers of all ages. Grachtenfestival will feature some 70 performances from August 17-21 along the city’s canals, including the Prinsengracht concert on a floating stage. But there’s more to this festival than just beautiful music. There will be free performances in and around private homes — in gardens, on rooftops, and more, plus a children’s festival.
