A REAL Lunch Break :: Deer Valley, Utah.

No way is The Deer Valley Resort, SKI magazine’s #1 Rated Ski Resort in North America, content to just sit around all summer waiting for snow. They offer a kaleidoscope of fun summer activities such as outdoor concerts ranging from Boz Scaggs to the Utah Symphony, mountain bike races, hiking, horseback riding, etc.

But if you’re looking for a major break from another “tired-tunny-sandwich-at-the-desk-lunch”, you’ll love the Resort’s Royal Street Café “ride the chairlift to lunch” special. Their unique mini-vacation lunch works like this: Guests who purchase an $8 one-time ride on the Silver Lake Express from the Snow Park Ticket Office at the Resort base and then eat lunch at Royal Street Café will be given a free full-day lift voucher which can be redeemed for a full-day lift ticket on Deer Valley’s Silver Lake Express and Sterling Express chairlifts any day of the 2008 summer season (June 13 through Labor Day, conditions permitting).

So not only can you enjoy a fresh-air break complete with gorgeous views, but if you snag a seat on the sunny deck you’ll even be able to work on your tan while you chow down on faves like the BBQ Chipotle Burger or fried green tomato and chevre salad; a shrimp and lobster appetizer layered with papaya salsa and fresh guacamole and served in a margarita glass; grilled tuna tacos with fresh mango-avocado salsa, southwest slaw and chipotle mayonnaise. The Asian chicken salad with soy-ginger vinaigrette is good for dieters, as is the homemade mint lemonade. Hey, maybe you should bring back a grilled panini for that cute Office New Guy!
