Inauguration Night Wines for President Obama

On January 20, President Obama enjoyed his inauguration with The Neighborhood Ball: An Inauguration Celebration event. The occasion was grand enough for calling for a toast. Historically US Presidents had their personal favorites when it came to the best wines of the world.

2000 J. Schram Rosé has always been a presidential favorite. This primary vintage-dated sparkler by Schramsberg is popular because it is a result of the best fruits from some 80 vineyards in Northern California. This classy bubbly can really make a toast for any grand affair.

The Wölffer 2004 Cabernet Franc is a recommended red. It offers layers of blue fruits, bright red, toasty oak, and violets. After that, you get a very lively and food-friendly finish. It is one of the brightest new stars of the East Coast.
