Movies have their Oscars. The Theatre, their Tony Awards. Not to mention the Clios, Pulitzer’s or the Nobel!

And, as all culinary insiders know…. Chefs have their Rising Star Chef Award! The StarChefs.com Rising Stars Revue is a national award that recognizes chefs from around the country as they come into their own as young leaders in the culinary field.

In San Francisco, on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at the Westin St. Francis, not only will you be able to meet the up-and-coming culinary stars from the city’s top restaurants, but if you hurry, you can also taste their noteworthy food, (sooo much better than some tired old “swag” bag!) at the Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony.

The StarChefs.com Rising Stars Revue is a walk-around tasting gala featuring signature dishes from each chef, as well as premium wine pairings, spirits, and entertainment.

The event will be held at the Westin St. Francis, 335 Powell Street, from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. Tickets are $95 per person and are available at www.starchefs.com/risingstars or by calling 212-966-3775. VIP tickets are $150 and include a pre-Gala champagne and caviar reception featuring Nicolas Feuillatte 1997 Palmes d’Or Champagne.
