The Donald Is Dying To Take Over Tavern On The Green: New York City

The tycoon says that since founder Warner LeRoy passed away in 2001 and his daughter, Jennifer, took over, The Tavern on The Green has been suffered, and he feels that he could run it much better. But reps say that Tavern on the Green is the nation’s top-grossing restaurant, making $38 million a year. Trump says he would turn the restaurant into the hottest place in the city. I say that this is a classic example of ” If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”

Tavern has been described as: A grand café overlooking Central Park. Tavern on the Green is one of New York’s most dazzling dining experiences — a real show-stopper overflowing with crystal chandeliers, hand-carved mirrors, and stained glass. Nestled in its own magical gardens, Tavern on the Green exists in a fantasy-like setting. It is no wonder the critics say,”If Oz had a restaurant, this would be it!”

I suppose The Donald thinks that “Oz” would be a perfect addition to his real estate portfolio.
