Another great destination for people and pooches is the Cypress Inn in Carmel, CA. This pet-friendly hotel, owned by Doris Day is just a few blocks from the beautiful beach and steps from chic shopping. Even if you don’t have a dog it’s a kick to go there, especially at cocktail hour when guests–both two and four legged–congregate in the bar.
