Jet Blue Sweeps The Customer Satisfaction Ratings
You would expect Jet Blue to top the charts in passenger satisfaction because of its swank leather seats and its personal entertainment systems. But Continental? Now that’s a bit of a surprise.
Jet Blue got the top ratings across the board in seven customer satisfaction categories, with 820 of a possible 1,000 points, or 81 above average. Southwest was a distant second, while Frontier Airlines was dead last.
Among fliers with first class, business class and coach, Continental Airlines was the highest-rated carrier, while Delta Air Lines was at its heals and American Airlines was third.
The study was based on responses from over 9,000 passengers who flew major North American airlines from January to May, 2006. It was conducted by J.D. Power Associates and Aviation Week magazine.
