Wine and Dine in Walla Walla, WA

It’s fun to say and even more so to visit. Walla Walla, located in the southeast corner of Washington, is home to the state’s exploding wine industry. Chef Mike Davis, owner of 26brix restaurant, has put a group of partners together and come up with some terrific packages being offered through Blue Stocking Tours of Walla Walla.

Cork to Fork – Package includes two nights at the Marcus Whitman Hotel; dinners at The Marc and 26brix; winery tour; gourmet box lunch; and breakfast. Rates begin at $409 single/$599 double. Available through Feb. 28, 2007.

Hide and Seek – Pull out your wallet or pull the trigger! Your choice to go antiquing or bird hunting. The package includes two nights at the Marcus Whitman Hotel or Maxwell House B&B; dinners at The Marc and 26brix; antique shopping or bird hunting; lunch; winery tour; and breakfast. Does not include hunting license. Rates begin at $510 single/$755 double. Available through Jan. 15, 2007.

River to Table – Spend the morning with Chef Mike Davis in a cooking class and then hone your skills at fly fishing with a guide from Stone Creek Fly Fishing. This package includes two nights at the historic Painted Place; dinners at the Creektown Cafe and 26brix; fishing; lunch; gift apron/recipes. Does not include fishing license. Rates begin at $456 per person for a party of six (weekdays) and $511 per person for a party of six (weekends). Available through Feb. 15, 2007.

Baste & Taste – Cook food, drink wine and have fun! Bring a group of gal pals to Walla Walla (6 minimum, 8 maximum) for a fun two nights. Package includes accommodations at the historic Painted Place; dinners at the Creektown Cafe and 26brix restaurant; private cooking class; wine tasting; lunch; gift apron/recipes.
