What’s Shaking?: 1906/2006 Great Quake & Fire Expo, San Francisco

The SF Chronicle features an Earthquake Week column each Friday. This week, it shows there were 103 quakes in the Bay Area. 103!!! The average is only 65, but most are less than a magnitude of 3.0 those of us who grew up with earthquakes hardly notice them.

Seismologists say “the big one” is coming. So it’s the perfect time to celebrate the centennial of the most destructive quake ever within the contiguous states. Visit the FREE 1906/2006 Great Earthquake & Fire Expo at Pier 48 from April 15-17, 9am – 6pm.
