Have you ever gotten to a mall and couldn’t find exactly what you wanted? If so, check out NearbyNow — a shopping search engine that combines proximity and time. It lets online shoppers use their PDAs, cell phones, laptops and other mobile devices to find what tye’re looking for and the stores that offer it.
It’s now in use in approximately 40 American malls. But by this September, the founder, Scott Dunlap, predicts 35% of U.S. shoppers with be within 30 miles of a shopping center that uses this service. And by November, it will break the century mark with service in 110 malls across 103 cities.
