Sneaker Sneek Peek: The Zvezdochka Modular Shoe

Nike has always been at the forefront of cutting edge footware. Now, they’ve teamed with Marc Newson to create the Zvezdochka –– a most interesting new modular shoe that’s unique because its different parts can be interchanged with others. Hence the title, “modular shoe.”

Marc’s claim to fame? While working at the Russian Space Institute, he saw photos of Cosmonauts wearing special socks while literally bouncing off the walls of their space ships for exercise.

So what’s a “Zvezdochka”? It was actually the name of the fifth Russian dog shot into space. Probably not a Russian Wolf Hound. After re-entry, definitely not a Hush Puppy.
