California’s celebrated chef, Traci Des Jardins, announced today that she will open two new restaurants at AT&T Park early next year, just in time for baseball season.
This is on top of her new restaurant, Manzanita, opening in Lake Tahoe next week on December 11th. Manzanita will be located in the new Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe in Northstar Resort and will serve Traci’s signature French inspired California cuisine using sustainable and locally grown meat and produce when in season. .
Acme Chophouse will be closing the end of December and then the space will give birth to fraternal twins: Public House and Mijita.
The Mijita restaurant will be similar to her popular taqueria in the Ferry Building, featuring a variety of authentic tacos, an al pastor vertical rotisserie and cazuela line, house-made tortillas as well as some not-so-authentic fan favorites like nachos and super tacos.
Public House will be a year round destination for sports watching with good food ( think grass fed hamburgers, pulled pork sliders and crab cakes) with one of the largest draft beer and cask ale offerings in San Francisco as well as a full bar.
Plus, the patio will be expanded and heated added to balance S.F.’s unpredictable weather.
That’s all the news for now, but one thing I’d really like to know is,does Traci ever sleep?
