Put Your Tap Water To The Test: San Francisco’s Is The Best

Chemists lined up drinking water from 20 cities across the country. I don’t know if they did a blind taste test or what, but all agreed that they could not detect any contaminants in San Francisco’s tap water.

“We didn’t detect anything whatsoever,” said Shane Snyder, research manager at the Southern Nevada Water Authority who helped coordinate a study by the research arm of the nation’s water utilities in which they tested for 60 compounds found in medicines, household cleaners and cosmetics.

“You guys have the best water that we tested. Period,” Snyder said of Everybody’s Favorite City — and my home town. “I don’t think we’ve ever tested drinking water that didn’t have any of our target compounds in it.” Read more at SFGate.com
