Open Your Wallets Wider: Airline Prices Rise

This just in… As the price of gasoline at the pumps rises for our cars, it costs more for jet fuel, too. So it’s no surprise that business travelers who book late and some first-class fliers will pay more this Summer for domestic tickets on most major airlines.

Delta Air Lines has just increased one-way domestic fares by $50 on unrestricted first-class and walk-up coach tickets. This was matched by Northwest, United, American, Continental and US Airways.

Delta also increased its most expensive one-way fares on domestic coach and first-class tickets to $699 and $799.
