Oh Say, Can You Sea, For Less? EasyCruise

Big cruises lines beware! EasyCruise is trying to duplicate its initial success in discount cruising this summer on the French and Italian Rivieras with week-long six-island Caribbean cruises starting November 12. It’s all about flexibility and extremely low fares on its 170-passenger easyCruiseOne ship, starting from just $32.40 per night for a standard 2-person cabin.

Their audience is people in their 20s, 30s & 40s. You can board and depart anywhere along the route as long as you stay on the ship at least 2 nights. It’s the dream child of Stelios, the founder of easyJet and easyHotel.

The November itinerary will include Barbados, St. Vincent, Martinique, the Grenadines (Bequia), Grenada and St. Lucia, where passengers can reach a port in the afternoon and you can party til midnight before moving to the next stop. I’ve been to most of these islands and they’re what you dream of when you think “Caribbean.” easyCruiseOne cabins are small and spartan, but for these low fares, what do you expect? Meals and refreshments are extra. But it’s such a deal, you should try it.
