Music To Your Eyes: The Video iPod

If you could watch your own movies and TV programs on a plane with the new Video iPod, would you? Or would you still rent headphones and watch the choice of their handful of movies — some of which you’ve already seen or some you don’t ever want to watch? Apple’s new 2.5-inch color display now brings you music, photos, video and more, blazing the way for digital entertainment with almost no bounds.

You can choose a 60-gigabyte model that holds up to 15,000 songs, 25,000 photos or over 150 hours of video for $399. Or if you don’t have that much media or money, get the 30-gigabyte model for $299. Plus, both versions are 30 percent thinner, have 50 percent more capacity, and boast battery life of up to 20 hours — with the addition of the video capabililty.

Watch for more entertainment coming your way on your iPod because Apple is already cutting deals with Disney and its ABC Network to sell episodes of “Desperate Housewives,” “Lost” and “Night Stalker” for download. You can get them the day after an episode without TV ads.
