Horse Powered Vintners :: Black Stallion Winery, Napa

My great uncle once owned a winery in Napa Valley. I’ve not yet pinpointed its location. But it could have been along
the storied Silverado Trail. In May, a new winery galloped into that area. The Black Stallion Winery has opened its massive wooden doors to reveal the newest Napa Wine destination, adding another vintner in an area that already is home to literally hundreds.

Walk inside to view soaring ceilings, a crackling fireplace and a circular tasting bar, where you can relax without feeling rushed. It’s also located on the same grounds as an historic equestrian center, evoking the rugged sophistication of early California.

Enjoy tastings of their first releases, make purchases from the wine bar, and browse the retail area.
Prices: Range from $18 to $45/bottle.
