”David Alan Grier”’ (born June 30, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American comedian most famous for starring in television shows such as:

• the Emmy Award winning ”In Living Color” (1990–1994)
• ”Premium Blend” (2001)
• ”Life with Bonnie” (2002-2004)

Grier was born in Detroit, Michigan to a school teacher and a psychiatrist. He graduated from Cass Technical High School, got his B.A. in radio, television, and film from the University of Michigan, and his MFA from Yale School of Drama in 1981. Rachel Roberts, visiting lecturer at Yale School of Drama, took notice of him!
