Cuts in Jobs at Kendall Jackson

Another famous winery is all set to lay off its workers. It is one of the most renowned as well as popular wineries in the whole of California. Jackson Family Wines, who are the suppliers of the famous Kendall-Jackson wines, has dismissed workers in a reply to the current economic recession.

According to the reports of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, about 170 works in different departments of the winery operations could not retain their jobs last week

Those who were dismissed included marketing professionals, winemakers, accountants administrative, assistants, as well as hospitality staff. The Press Democrat’s Outlook made a survey in mid 2008. According to that the Jackson Family Wines offered jobs to some 810 employees in the Sonoma County. It had made a noticeable reduction in the size of its staff.

Last year, the company was able to sell about 5.6 million wine cases of wine that were produced from 14,000 acres of Californian vineyards.
