Copenhagen – A Priciest Scandinavian Capital City

Copenhagen is the largest and capital city of the Scandinavian country Denmark. It stands in the fourth position in the list of the most expensive city comparing the cost of living. It is the political, economical and cultural capital of the country just like Oslo and Helsinki the other two capital cities of the Scandinavian countries. Many of the regional and international corporate houses such as Maersk and software giant Microsoft have their headquarters in the city.

Over the past few years the city of Copenhagen along with the whole country has observed a tremendous growth in industrial and financial sectors making it grow internationally and domestically. This is the main reason behind its increasing cost of living and becoming one of the most expensive cities of the world. The Danish company Vestas is the largest wind turbine manufacturer. This is just a passing example. The corresponding high wages also make this city to stand in the higher part in the list of expensive cities of the world.
