If there was a Bravo Top Architect Show, Stanley Saitowitz could fill the Tom Colicchio, the head judge role, for his successful career in architecture. Countless buildings he designed have received national and international recognition. This week he just scored the “Excellence in Interior Architecture” AIA award for his work at Conduit, the new Mission restaurant whose interior has generated as more buzz than its cuisine.

Due to a hectic travel schedule of late, I haven’t had time to visit yet, but I’ve heard some rave reviews for their local, organic cuisine. One tip I received was to order the s’mores for dessert the minute you are seated since this luscious dessert tends to sell out fast. They’re also supposed to have a stellar wine list with everything from a $5.00 glass of Austrian red to the sky’s the limit.

Conduit, 280 Valencia St. (near 14th Street), San Francisco; (415) 552-5200. Dinner nightly. Starters, $9-$14; entrees, $19-$25; cheese and desserts, $7-$8. Full bar. Credit cards and reservations accepted.

p.s. Don’t forget to check out the cool bathroom.
