Cépage: A Pearl Of The Orient

cepage

Cépage, is basically Hong Kong’s version of Les Amis Singapore. The Singapore based Les Amis Group takes on a vivacious dining scene, wishing to trample its gastronomic mark on the Pearl of the Orient.

The architect and interior design team of Tan Kay Nee, who fashioned the Group’s Italian concept La Strada, takes the credit for the gorgeous and soothing interiors of this place. The 18th century French villas inspired Tan for the interiors, but he also gave it an unprecedented contemporary twirl.

The vibrant paintings by Chinese artist Mao Tong Qiang makes a perfect blend of art and modernity. These pictures, sitting alongside Chester armchairs, in tepid hues of burgundy and antique chandeliers gives it a classic touch. The floor-to-ceiling windows swathe around the three-storey restaurant.
Chef Thomas Mayr fulfills his part very efficiently by giving his innovative touch to the exquisite merge of French-Mediterranean cuisine. The two wine cellars housing both white and red wine add an authentic touch to it.
