Whether you call it N’Awlins, NOLA, or New Orleens, this city has some outstanding restaurants. Brennan’s is a culinary phenomenon and has been since it opened almost 60 years ago. The chefs here have created some of the world’s most famous and imaginative dishes like Bananas Foster. Now with 10 restaurants, their best bargain buys lunch at the Red Fish Grill, a grilled seafood emporium at 115 Bourbon Street, with smaller crowds and more affordable prices than dinner: $9.95 – $12.95/plate.

Specialties at the Red Fish Grill include Sweet Potato Catfish, Alligator Sausage & Seafood Gumbo, Bananas Foster ‘Up’, and at least seven types of Gulf Fish available every night.

Owen Edward Brennan,  founder, influenced the course of New Orleans gastronomy as the culinary renaissance man of his time.
