A Hotel Mit Hip: Lux 11, Berlin

When it opened in July, the new Lux 11 hip hotel in Berlin’s hip Mitte district scored points for its location near the city’s best boutiques and restaurants.

But wait, it gets better. Much better. Because Lux 11 — more than a boarding house than a hotel with 72 apartments — will unveil an Italian-Asian fusion restaurant in mid-November, Tietgen und Kahlcke’s Aveda spa, Ulf Haines’ store, and a café.

The apartments offers full kitchen, fax, phone with voicemail, a safe, DVD player, LCD television, queen or king size beds, Lux’s line of toiletries, Linari room scents, and ceiling-mounted “rain” showerheads.

Rates start an a very affordable 115 Euros per night.

Reservations can be made through Design Hotel’s site or through Lux’s site.
