Wine Flights: Airport Wine Tastings, Vino Volo

If you just visited a city with nearby wineries and you just didn’t have time to get to one, here’s a smart solution: Airport Wine Tasting at Washington Dulles, Sea-Tac and Sacramento, offered by Vino Volo. I think it’s a great escape from the fast food and glass walled bars with runway vews in most airports.

According to Springwise.com: “At Vino Volo, customers can sample wines either by the glass or in tasting flights. Plates of cheese, cured meats, salmon rolls and other gourmet fare complement the flavours of the wine in a relaxed, upscale atmosphere. The experience doesn’t have to end when a flight begins boarding: wines are available for purchase by the bottle and can be shipped to a customer’s home (subject to state law).”

Vino Volo has plans to get into another dozen airports during 2007. JFK and Baltimore are next in line.
