These Dinners Make Perfect Sense :: New York

I just read what Dan Barber, Executive Chef, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, is planning and it sounds like great fun:

The Five Senses Dinner Series

Chef Barber is offering an exciting series of dinners, down at the farm, to benefit Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, featuring renowned artists, thinkers, movers and shakers. Each dinner will highlight one of your senses, beginning with SMELL, on April 6th.
The four-course dinner will feature aromatic seasonal ingredients, and unique scent pairings offered by Christopher Broisus, an award-winning perfume designer. Also on board, to guide you through your sensory journey will be Rachel Herz, a leading smell psychologist! ( Wonder if her business card is a scratch-n-sniff?)

In the following months the other four senses will each be highlighted in an equally creative manner. Check out Blue Hill at Stone Barns website to see which one tickles your tongue and imagination.

I’ve dined at their other resto in New York City. Blue Hill is located in Greenwich Village and it’s really wonderful. And it’s not $200/person.

Yeah…but these events are really so much more than just a delish dinner..More like a “happening” from the old hippy days. Sound like they’d be totally worthy it,and compared to the French Laundry,it’s a steal 😉
