The Winner & Still World Champion :: Regent Cruise Line Again Named Best Small-Ship Line

This just in from our friend Tim Laughlin… Readers of Condé Nast Traveler Magazine voted Regent Seven Seas Cruises “#1 Small-Ship Cruise Line? in the publication’s landmark 20th annual Readers’ Choice Awards poll.

Nearly 30,000 readers participated, ranking the world’s best cruise lines based on activities/facilities, cabins, crew/service, design/layout, food/dining and itineraries. The 2007 first-place finish is Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ second in two years; the line was voted #1 in the large-ship category in 2006. The Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet includes both “large? and “small? vessels under the poll’s guidelines.

Regent’s fleet of six-star luxury vessels features some of the highest space-per-guest and crew-per-guest ratios at sea, calling on 300 ports worldwide on all seven continents. Each of the four ships, including Regent’s two largest ships, the 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager, recently completed multi-million dollar upgrades and enhancements.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, one of the highest honors in the travel industry, celebrate the best-of-the-best in hotels, airlines, resorts, cruise lines, cities and islands and are derived from the largest independent poll of consumer preferences, second only to the U.S. Census. Complete awards listings can be found in the November 2007 issue.
