A ski chalet that combines a rustic atmosphere while still exuding sophisticated luxury is not all too common. The Post Hotel in Lake Louise mixes an extensive wine cellar (over 25,000 bottles) and hand rolled Cuban cigars with a quaint atmosphere you expect from a ski lodge.
It is part of the Relais & Châteaux hotel chain and receives many European visitors each year. According to their website the Hotel still uses the Post Horn as a symbol of tradition. In European mountain villages, the Post Horn was used to announce the arrival of the stagecoach carrying mail.
