Swedish Kitsch Kabin: The Love Shack, West Wales

That may explain the success of the Caban Cariad (Welsh for “Love Shack” from Under The Thatch rental agency), a Swedish prefab cabin imported in 1973 that’s recently been refurbished. It opened in July with a decor that’s a mix of vintage, modern and Ikea: a floral couch, orange sparkly plastic stools, pop art, lava lamp, shag rug and pebble fireplace. This Woodland Log Cabin sleeps 4 and rents for £99 and up for four night stays. What’s that saying? Everything old is new again.
